This was recently sold at White Bird Gallery in Cannon Beach, OR.
Inspired by the rugged Oregon coastline, "Downpour" is an evocative exploration of the edges where humans and nature interact. Using unique Red Step Studio hand formulated underglazes, the images and colors are "painted" onto terracotta tiles with brushes, paint rollers and expired credit cards. The surface has a matte, rough textured finish.
This piece is composed of two tiles, the finished tile art measures 12"W x 16"H and is permanently mounted in a black wooden floater frame. Finished framed piece measures 13.5"W x 18.5"H x 1.375"D and comes ready to hang with picture hanging hardware attached.
